  Jinida Doba, Account Executive

Jinida’s expertise in creative and news writing provides our clients with insightful and relevant news releases, community newsletters and other communications materials. Her writing and editing skills have helped the Akron City Council newsletter become a key communication vehicle between government and residents. In addition to her creative writing, Jinida manages the marketing and public relations needs for several clients and assists in the solicitation of new business.

She has 12 years of experience as a print media professional, having worked as a staff or contributing writer for the Akron Beacon Journal, Wilmington (N.C.) Star-News, trade journal Plastics News, Urban Dialect magazine and Akron Life and Leisure magazine. Throughout her career as a news reporter, Jinida also operated a small public relations and media consulting business, serving clients that included authors, performing artists and non-profit organizations. She has worked as a contributing writer for Highland Public Relations since June 2005.

Jinida serves on the public relations committee of Sankofa Fine Art Plus, a non-profit group dedicated to the promotion and preservation of fine ethnic art in Northeast Ohio. She graduated from Kent State University with a B.A. degree in Pan African studies with a minor concentration in journalism. While at Kent, she was editor of a student magazine and a staff writer for the university’s daily newspaper.
