Ward 3 (June 22, 2009) – Dominion East Ohio is inviting Ward 3 residents who live on or near West Thornton Street to an informational meeting to learn about a major gas pipeline replacement project planned for the Southwest Akron neighborhood.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 24 at the Akron Urban League, 440 Vernon Odom Blvd. At that time, representatives from Dominion and Ward 3 Councilman Marco Sommerville will be on hand to answer questions about the work to be done and how it will impact traffic flow on streets intersecting and surrounding West Thornton.
The gas company’s pipeline infrastructure replacement project is expected to start sometime this summer.
